San Andreas, CA… Meet Victor, an adorable black and white tuxedo kitten named for the upside down “V” on his forehead. An older kitten, Victor is as sweet as they come and guaranteed to steal your heart. He adores absolutely everyone and follows visitors around his communal room like a puppy as if to say, “Take me! Take me!” He also has a very loud purr and a tiny meow which he seldom uses. Playful and active, Victor would likely fit into most any household where he can be showered with love and attention.
Victor is up to date on his routine vaccinations and has been micro-chipped. Already neutered, he can go home with you today!
Come visit Victor, impound no. AO52953, along with other cats and dogs awaiting their forever homes at Calaveras County Animal Services, 901 Jeff Tuttle Drive, San Andreas (in government center by the new jail). Animal Services is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Tuesday – Saturday (closed for lunch from 1-2 p.m.). For more information about this kitty, please email Animal Services volunteer Cynthia at email@example.com, Kathy at firstname.lastname@example.org or call Animal Services directly at 754-6509. Please refer to Victor’s impound number when making inquiries.
Currently, the Calaveras shelter remains open for visitors wishing to adopt. We are, however, limiting viewing to one person at a time due to COVID precautions. Please understand there may be a wait for you to view the shelter animals, many of which still await their forever homes. Adoptable animals may also be viewed on the web at http://animal.calaverasgov.us/Adoptions and on the Calaveras County Animal Services Facebook page.
Volunteers are very much needed as well. Whether you can give a little time or a lot, we would value your help caring for shelter animals or in the office. No experience necessary; we will provide training and match you to your interests. Please call 754-6509 for more information.
Animal Services now has a Fee Flexibility Program!
When the dog or cat population at the shelter is at 80% or above capacity,
the total adoption fee will be 50% off––reduced to $40 for dogs and $30 for cats. The adoption fee for cats who arrive at the shelter already altered is $10. With the 55-5-5 Program, any time an adopter is 55 or older and adopts any pet over 5 years old, the adoption fee is $5.
