Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Team September 23th thru October 1st, 2021

San Andreas, CA…On 9/23/2021, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Unit served a search warrant for illegal marijuana cultivation in the 5000 Block of Blue Mountain Road in Wilseyville, CA. Deputies seized 63 growing marijuana plants, 238 pounds of processed marijuana, and 52.8 grams of concentrated marijuana honey oil. The estimated value of all seized marijuana plants and products exceeds $327,000. Evidence of a Butane Honey Oil (BHO) extraction operation was discovered at the site. Daniel Elliot Jacob, age 39 of Wilseyville, was issued a citation on charges of 11358 H&S Illegal Marijuana, 11359 H&S Possession of Marijuana For Sale, 11379.6 H&S Manufacturing a Controlled Substance, and 182 PC Conspiracy to Commit Crime. The investigation is ongoing.

On 9/29/2021, a search warrant was served in the 4000 block of Hillvale Drive in Valley Springs, CA. Deputies seized 419 growing marijuana plants with an estimated total value of $260,000. Deputies also seized 3.7 grams of methamphetamine. Additionally, 14 firearms were seized, one of which had been previously stolen. No suspects were located at the scene. Evidence was collected and the investigation is ongoing.

On 9/30/2021, the Calaveras Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Unit assisted California Department of Fish and Wildlife Officers in the service of a search warrant which was served in the 1500 block of Hwy 12 in San Andreas, CA. Officers seized 62 growing marijuana plants and 45 pounds of processed marijuana with an estimated value exceeding $75,000. Officers seized 10 firearms at the scene. Several environmental violations were documented by the onsite CDFW scientist to include removing river bedrock and water diversion. Evidence was collected and the investigation is ongoing.

On 10/1/2021, a search warrant was served in the 7000 block of Hwy 12 in Wallace, CA. Deputies seized 1,286 growing marijuana plants with an estimated value exceeding $858,000. The residence had been converted to facilitate indoor marijuana cultivation. Calaveras County Code Enforcement responded to the scene to address violations. Junyun Ouyang, age 26 of Wallace, was placed under arrest and booked into the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office on charges of 11366 H&S Maintaining a Place for Sells of a Controlled Substance and 182 PC Conspiracy to Commit Crime. The investigation is ongoing.
