Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Stagecoach Road Low Water Crossing Replacement Project

Angels Camp, CA…The new Stagecoach Road Bridge over Little Johns Creek is located within Diamond XX Ranch Estates. This bridge replaces a regularly impassable low water crossing with a concrete 2-lane bridge that will serve the community for many decades to come.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be hosted by the Calaveras County Department of Public Works on Thursday, February 21st, 2019 at the new bridge, located about ¾ of a mile north of the intersection of Stagecoach Road and Surrey Lane. Beginning at 2:15 PM, one-lane traffic control will be in place. Interested members of the public are welcome to attend. Attendees are welcome to park within the closed lane, and drivers are asked to please follow instructions of traffic control personnel and devices.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will occur at 2:30 PM. The road will be closed during a brief time for the ceremony, and thru traffic is asked to find a different route during this time. One lane will be reopened at 2:45 PM, and the road and bridge will be fully opened to traffic at 3:00 PM.

If traveling through the area, please observe all traffic control signs and the instructions of onsite personnel. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Calaveras County Department of Public Works at (209) 754-6401. For those planning to attend, please note that cellular reception can be limited in the foothills. Please carry a paper copy of driving directions if you are unfamiliar with the area.
