3% Gross Domestic Product, 2nd Quarter 2025 (Advance Estimate)

Washington, DC…Real gross domestic product (GDP) increased at an annual rate of 3.0 percent in the second quarter of 2025 (April, May, and June), according to the advance estimate released by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. In the first quarter, real GDP decreased 0.5 percent.

Real GDP: Percent change from preceding quarter

The increase in real GDP in the second quarter primarily reflected a decrease in imports, which are a subtraction in the calculation of GDP, and an increase in consumer spending. These movements were partly offset by decreases in investment and exports. For more information, refer to the “Technical Notes” below.

Contributions to Percent Change in Real GDP, 2nd Quarter 2025

    Our only hope? Assassination.

P.S. Trumps ventures in the past typically started with a bang, then slowly but surely went down the road of bankruptcy. (See his casinos, Trump Univ., steak co., wine co., fragrances, marriages, etc., etc.) Its just a matter of time before he bankrupts the USA. No hyperbole, just fact. And in case you MAGA whackos haven’t heard this term, “History always repeats itself”, look it up.

The violent, miserable, democrats are crying, screaming and in denial after CNN admits what the Party of democracy has always known, President Trump is the President of the CENTURY!!!

      HEADLINE NEWS

CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten said President Donald Trump’s administration is “the most influential this century” and potentially dating back “a good portion of the last century,” citing sweeping changes in tariffs, immigration, and executive action.

“Love it, like it, lump it. Trump is remaking the United States of America,” Enten said during a segment on CNN highlighting data that showed recent policy successes of the Trump administration.

Enten pointed to the sharp rise in the effective tariff rate, now at 18 percent. This is the highest level since Franklin D. Roosevelt’s administration in the 1930s and marks a dramatic increase from just 2 percent one year ago.

He also highlighted a dramatic drop in net migration to the US, which is down at least 60 percent from last year. Enten said the country is potentially on track to see net negative migration for the first time in 50 years, a stark contrast to the 2.8 million net migrants recorded in 2024.

On executive action, Enten noted that Trump has signed 180 executive orders so far this year, the most issued in a single year since the FDR administration. By comparison, President Joe Biden signed 77 in his entire first year in office.

“In my mind, Donald Trump is the most influential President of this century and probably dating back a good portion of last century,” Enten concluded after highlighting these political topics. “It truly is history-making.”

Cry your black heart out Mr Whiner!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The tariffs are taxes paid for by all of us.
Prices are going up ,not down.
The tariffs revenue go into the general fund, which pays the Nat Debt.
In essence, you are paying for the billionaire tax cuts.
Meanwhile , we are losing many essential Fed agencies, or services, such as the NWS, which did not warn the media that broadcasts weather alerts to the public. Over 230 died from tornadoes, floods, in 5 states because of doge cuts of our NWS.
Medicaid cuts will cause deaths, as food aid cuts will also.

We will pay more and get less -maga -more winning !

GDP growth this month is due to tiny import (due to tariffs of course).
It’s not growth, it’s a compensation of the import driven low GDP of the month before.

Folks who think “Wow 3%, Trumponomics actually works!” are in for some disappointment next month.

The Epstein scandal is an example of the cruelty now being exposed.

    Dow down 330 pts.
The don insulted Powell again this morning.
The latest data is inflation is up, as unemployment is also.
The don said the tariffs are great, they will bring in $trillions to America.

The rub is the consumers in America will be paying the $trillions .

This another con from the don on the citizens , he sees us all as stupid marks for his cons.

His billionaire cabinets also believe this.

It’s never enough $ for the billionaires.

    Here are some facts:

The cumulative inflation from 2020 through 2024 (~28%) is about an order of magnitude way larger than the total short-run price increase attributable to current and expected tariffs (~2%).
Tariffs contribute more prominently to an initial one-time price jump, with a minor role in ongoing inflation trends.

under Biden, inflation skyrocketed (~28%), under Trump you might see a one time small increase in inflation but long term will actually see a huge drop in inflation due to production coming back to USA as well as American jobs and increase in real wages for Americans. Quit getting your news from propaganda outlets and do some real research on your own before regurgitating nonsense like tariffs hurt Americans. Regardless of who is in office this is a great opportunity for America and its citizens, it just took someone who knows his name and where he to negotiate for America, rather than 4 years of ~28% inflation from an administration that distracted you from all its failures by letting cities burn and boys pretending to be girls so they can feel good about beating girls cause they can’t compete against boys.

Trump used to have decent media instincts, but whew.

The ONE thing he had going for him narratively with Epstein was their supposedly falling out because Trump found Epstein’s conduct “creepy.”

AND THEN. He manages to reframe it as “Epstein stole my human property, specifically an underage girl”

    Taco tariff don folds again.
    Another postponement of tariff deadline.
The don just doesn’t understand financials.
Stability is what investors want, he likes chaos, he feels it gives him power.
Yet Canada , and other countries now are on his chit list because they dared to go elsewhere.
So he tries to be punitive , but the American consumer will have to pay for his tantrum tariff games.
    Inflation up, unemployment up.
The maga Commerce dept numbers are bogus.

How much longer will this fraud continue?

The economy undershot the projection of 100,000 new jobs significantly, adding only 73,000. Even worse, the numbers for May and June were revised down by a ghastly 285,000 jobs. That means that the economy created only 33,000 jobs in May and June combined — anemic growth the likes of which we haven’t seen the final months of President Trump’s first term. In contrast, under President Biden, the economy gained some 420,000 jobs in May and June 2024.
