Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee Calaveras Rodeo Queen, Jr. Queen & Princess Competition Now Accepting Applications

Frogtown, USA…The Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee is proud to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 Calaveras Rodeo Queen, Junior Queen, and Princess Competition. This long-standing tradition celebrates the intelligence, talent, horsemanship, and community spirit of young women across the region.

Application Deadline & Orientation

Applications Due: January 8, 2026
Orientation: January 8, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.
All applications must be turned in no later than orientation. If you cannot attend orientation but wish to compete, please contact the coordinator before January 8, 2026.
Participants are asked to wear western attire, as photos will be taken for social media.

About the Competition
The Calaveras Rodeo Queen, Jr. Queen, and Princess Competition seeks versatile young women who exemplify grace, intelligence, strong character, and a passion for community service. Contestants should be articulate, confident, sincere, and committed to representing the Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee for a full one-year reign.

Titleholders serve as role models to young women throughout the community and make numerous public appearances at local events. Contestants may obtain sponsorships to help cover costs associated with the competition.

Winners of the Calaveras Rodeo Queen titles (Queen, 1st Princess, and 2nd Princess) will be awarded scholarships ranging from $5,000 to $1,000.

Eligibility Requirements
Senior Queen: Ages 16–26 (must be 16 by May 11, 2026)
Junior Queen: Ages 13–15 (must be 13 by May 11, 2026)
Princess: Ages 9–12 (must be 9 by May 11, 2026)
Must reside in one of the following counties: Calaveras, Amador, Tuolumne, Alpine, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, or Merced
Must not be living with a male in lieu of marriage
Cannot be engaged
Must have no criminal convictions
Must maintain a cumulative 2.0 GPA or higher, verified
No visible body piercings (other than traditional ear piercings) or tattoos
Must maintain appropriate attire at all times
Must be committed to fulfilling public appearance obligations throughout the reign
The Calaveras Rodeo Queen, Jr. Queen, and Princess titles offer an exciting opportunity to represent our fair, celebrate western heritage, and serve the community.
