<\/p>\nSan Andreas, CA…Beginning Friday June 12, 2020, Calaveras County will move into Stage 3 of the Roadmap to Recovery and reopen additional sectors of local businesses with measures to protect public health and safety. In addition to the existing sectors that have reopened with modifications as part of Stage 2 of the Roadmap to Recovery, the following sectors may also reopen this coming Friday with modifications:
\n1. Restaurants, Bars and Wineries
\n2. Fitness centers and gyms (includes pools)
\n3. Campgrounds, RV Parks, and Outdoor Recreation (includes pools)
\n4. Hotels, Lodging, and Short Term Rentals (includes tourism, individual travel and pools)
\n5. Day Camps (excludes children\u2019s active sport day camps and overnight camps)
\n6. Card Rooms, Satellite Wagering Facilities, and Racetracks (specific guidance for tribal casino-based gaming)
\n7. Film, TV, and Music Production (must follow Office Workspace Guidance)
\n8. Professional Sports Without a Live Audience (must follow Office Workspace and Retail Guidance)
\n9. Movie Theatres and Family Entertainment Centers (includes bowling alleys, miniature golf, batting cages, and arcades)
\n10. Zoos, Museums, Galleries, and Aquariums <\/p>\n

Even though businesses around the state are opening up, the state is urging Californians to avoid travelling long distances for vacations or pleasure as much as possible. This is to slow the spread of the coronavirus. Do not travel if you are sick, or if someone in your household has had coronavirus in the last two weeks. Do not travel with someone who is sick. If you do travel, take steps to keep everyone safe like wearing a face cloth covering, keeping 6 feet of physical distance from those not in your household, and washing your hands frequently. <\/p>\n
On June 12, 2020, Dr. Dean Kelaita, Calaveras County Health Officer, will be rescinding the only remaining Local Health Officer Order titled Clarification on Governor\u2019s and State Health Officer\u2019s \u201cStay-at-Home\u201d Order as Related to Lodging Facilities, which was released on March 26, 2020.<\/p>\n
Interim Guidance on Schools and School-Based Programs was also released. Public Health and Calaveras County school administrators are reviewing the state guidance documents and are working together to create a safer environment for student, family, and staff populations.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs we reopen more areas of our county it is crucial that workplaces follow strict guidelines designed to protect public health and safety,\u201d said Dr. Dean Kelaita, Calaveras County Health Officer. \u201cReopening doesn\u2019t mean no risk. Any type of crowded setting increases your risk of exposure to COVID-19 – be sure to wear a face covering, stay six feet away from others, avoid touching your face, and wash your hands often with soap and water.\u201d Further movement into Stage 3 means that the certain businesses can re-open so long as they meet State requirements that include:<\/p>\n
1. Performing a detailed risk assessment and implement a site-specific protection

\n2. Training employees on how to limit the spread of COVID-19, including how
\nto screen themselves for symptoms and stay home if they have them
\n3. Implementing individual control measures and screenings
\n4. Implementing disinfecting protocols
\n5. Implementing physical distancing guidelines<\/p>\n

Businesses that are allowed to reopen as part of Stage 3 should keep their risk assessment and site-specific protection plan on hand at their place of business so that customers who wish to see it, can. The following are not permitted in Stage 3 at this time:

\n\uf0b7 Indoor playgrounds such as bounce centers, ball pits and laser tag
\n\uf0b7 Live theater
\n\uf0b7 Saunas and steam rooms

\n\uf0b7 Concert venues
\n\uf0b7 Festivals
\n\uf0b7 Theme parks
