Amador County, CA…Amador County Public Health reports two additional cases of COVID-19 in Amador County. One case is a male resident of Jackson in his 30s and the other is a teenage resident of Pine Grove. One of the new cases was exposed at a family gathering, became ill and sought care. The contact tracing continues this evening and all close personal contacts will be monitored by the Health Department.<\/p>\n

Total positive COVID-19 cases in Amador to date = 33. Total currently in isolation at home = 14. Total currently hospitalized in isolation = 1. Total recovered = 18.<\/p>\n

Amador Public Health reminds our community of the importance of individual actions to help slow the spread of this disease and to protect ourselves and our families: \uf0b7 Indoor interaction is more risky than outdoor. \uf0b7 Avoid group gatherings. \uf0b7 Limit the number of others you interact with outside your household. \uf0b7 Stay home if you are sick. \uf0b7 When you go out, practice social distancing, wear a face covering, and wash your hands as soon as possible afterward. \uf0b7 Avoid unnecessary travel. \uf0b7 Regularly clean high-touch surfaces. \uf0b7 Persons over age 65 and those with chronic health conditions that put them at higher risk for severe COVID-19 should continue to stay home as much as possible.
