Public Health confirms sixteen additional cases in Amador County since last Friday\u2019s COVID-19 update.  These new cases continue to demonstrate 3 main exposure avenues in Amador: (1) Family or co-worker transmission, (2) Congregate living transmission, (3) Community transmission.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/amacovid.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"531\" height=\"253\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-101760\" srcset=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/amacovid.jpg 531w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/amacovid-300x143.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 531px) 100vw, 531px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Three of the new cases reside in Ione, 7 live in Jackson, 2 live in Pine Grove, 2 live in Plymouth and 2 live in Sutter Creek. The new cases include 7 females and 9 males, 3 age 18-49, 3 age 50-65, and 10 over the age of 65. These cases include an outbreak within a skilled nursing facility. Eight cases are currently hospitalized locally and one case is hospitalized out of county.<\/p>\n<p>Although Amador County is not yet on the State County Monitoring Watch List, Public Health continues to monitor the increasing case numbers. The \u201cActive\u201d case tally on the Amador County COVID-19 webpage is the closest real-time tracking of Amador\u2019s 14-day case rate: https:\/\/www.amadorgov.org\/services\/covid-19\/<\/p>\n<p>Total cases in Amador to date = 137 cases.<br \/>\nTotal hospitalized in Amador County = 8 cases.<br \/>\nTotal hospitalized out-of-county = 1 case.<br \/>\nTotal active cases = 45 cases.<br \/>\nTotal cases released from isolation to date = 92 cases.<br \/>\nCases are released from isolation when they are no longer infectious.<\/p>\n<p>Personal precautions, including within the workplace, make an impact in reducing the spread of COVID-19. This includes 6-foot physical distancing and wearing masks or face coverings even<br \/>\nduring break times and commuting together. Gathering should be avoided. Vulnerable, high risk individuals are encouraged to stay home as much as possible. This includes persons over age 65<br \/>\nand those with chronic health conditions that put them at higher risk for severe COVID-19. All should avoid mixing with others outside your household. Avoid unnecessary travel. Stay home if<br \/>\nyou are sick. Stay home if you have symptoms and are awaiting test results.  <\/p>\n<p>Cases within State prison inmates continue to increase but are not included in the Amador case count as inmate cases are not included in the county data that would move Amador to the State<br \/>\nCounty Monitoring Watch List.
