\nhealth issues as we continue navigating pandemic impacts and challenges. This workshop is presented
\nwith that in mind \u2013 focusing on key elements of women\u2019s physical AND mental health. We believe that
\neveryone has a woman in their life that could benefit from what we will learn and share with each other
\nduring this special one hour online event. \u201d<\/p>\n
He adds, \u201cOctober is probably best known as Breast Cancer Awareness Month \u2013 a movement MTMC has
\nactively supported for decades. Tina Macuha, anchor of Good Day Sacramento on KMAX\/CW-31,
\ncontinues to be engaged in our efforts to raise awareness in the foothill region and will make a special
\nappearance during this workshop. She was set to headline our Steps to Kick Cancer event again this year
\nbut it has been canceled due to COVID-19.\u201d<\/p>\n
Archer explains, \u201cOctober is also recognized nationally as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. We
\nknow this threat is ongoing \u2013 and now, increasing \u2013 due to struggles and stress associated with the
\npandemic. This prompted us to include our local expert partners in covering this very important topic in
\nour workshop.\u201d<\/p>\n
Kelli Coane, Chief Administrative Director of the Resource Connection, will lead that discussion about
\nEmpowering Individuals Seeking Freedom from Toxic Relationships. She will also offer a virtual tour of
\ntheir facilities in both San Andreas and Murphys.<\/p>\n
Other presenters include Gynecologist Ali Parsa, M.D.; Radiologist Pardeep Athwal, M.D.; and Debbie
\nSellick, Mark Twain Health Care District Board Member. They will cover a variety of health topics \u2013

\nBreast Cancer Awareness
\nMammograms: Not Scary Any More<\/p>\n
This virtual event will be hosted by MTMC Community Board Chair Kathy Northington, retired
\nCalaveras County School Superintendent; and Co-hosted by Doug Archer, CEO and President of MTMC.
