The new cases include 7 males and 8 females, 5 aged 18-49, 7 aged 50-64, 3 over 65 years of age, 7 residing in Ione, 4 living in Jackson, 2 in Pine Grove, 1 in Pioneer and<br \/>\n1 residing in Sutter Creek\/Amador City. Two individuals are hospitalized locally.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/AmadorCounty.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"170\" height=\"170\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13078\" srcset=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/AmadorCounty.png 170w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/AmadorCounty-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/AmadorCounty-30x30.png 30w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 170px) 100vw, 170px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>These additional cases are grouped within two case clusters. One is an extended family cluster. The second is among Mule Creek State Prison employees as reflected on the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) COVID-19 website. Amador Public Health is actively<br \/>\ncollaborating with Mule Creek Public Health staff and Correctional Health Care Services on the investigation and containment strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Prevention measures matter in reducing disease spread in the community. Outdoors is better than indoors. Staying further apart is safer than close together. It is important to continue to maintain 6-foot physical distance and to wear a face covering. Avoid mixing with others outside your household. Individuals may be contagious before symptoms of COVID-19 are present. Persons over age 65 and those with chronic health conditions that put them at higher risk for severe COVID-19 are encouraged to stay home as much as possible. Avoid unnecessary travel. Stay home if you are sick even with mild symptoms.<\/p>\n<p>Total cases in Amador to date = 291 cases.<br \/>\nTotal hospitalized in Amador County = 2 cases.<br \/>\nTotal confirmed COVID-19 deaths = 15 deaths.<br \/>\nTotal active cases = 21 cases.<br \/>\nTotal cases released from isolation to date = 253 cases.
