…Winter Storm Expected Today and Tonight…<\/p>\n
.A strong Pacific storm will bring periods of heavy snow and
\nstrong winds across the mountains of western Plumas County and the
\nWest Slope of the Sierra Nevada today and into tonight. The
\nheaviest snow is expected from late Monday morning and into the
\nearly evening for elevations above 5500 feet. Light accumulations
\nare possible down to 5000 feet. Hazardous mountain travel
\nconditions are anticipated. If traveling in the mountains, carry
\nchains, extra warm clothing and food, and be prepared for
\nsignificant travel delays. Another winter storm is possible mid-
\nweek which could also impact mountain travel.<\/p>\n

\n Expect very difficult travel conditions with white out
\n conditions at times, mainly from late this morning and into this
\n evening. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches expected at
\n lower elevations, and 12 to 18 inches with localized amounts up
\n to 2 feet expected at higher elevations, above 6500 feet.<\/p>\n

\n Northern Sierra Nevada.<\/p>\n

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Be prepared for significant reductions in

A Winter Storm Warning for wet snow means there will be snow
\ncovered roads and limited visibilities. Travel is not recommended
