<\/a><\/p>\nTammie Lee, Artistic Director, will be directing the showcase this year. Dancers from Studio 4 School of Dance are featured in this year\u2019s showcase, starting at age 7 and going up from there. Dance students bring their own choreography and style to the showcase. The audience will be thrilled to experience the jazz, lyrical, contemporary, ballet and jazz funk genres represented at this spring\u2019s performance.<\/p>\n
The dance students choreographing for the showcase include Rocky Harwood, with a contemporary number. Ashely Hancock will also have a contemporary piece for the audience to enjoy. There will be a lyrical solo choreographed and performed by Julia Kalton. Afton Phillips has prepared a jazz dance and Anastacia Sharp brings the audience a lyrical duet dance. The very talented Tammie Lee has prepared dances in ballet, lyrical and jazz funk genres.
\nTammie Lee explains how excited she is to bring dance back to the community. \u201cIt has been a difficult year for all of us, especially our dancers,\u201d said Lee. \u201cBeing able to perform for a live audience and bring the arts back to our community is such a gift.\u201d<\/p>\n
Historically the Student Showcase has been a farewell event for senior dancers graduating from high school and moving on into adult life. This year\u2019s senior is Julia Kalton. \u201cWe have invited Julia to stay with the dance company through to the end of our dance season this year. She will be performing with us in the Nutcracker this December,\u201d said Lee.<\/p>\n
