I love the architectural style. Their pavilion is also used for a myriad of uses including a music festival and weddings.<\/p>\n<p>My immediate goal is to get this project to a &#8220;shovel ready&#8221; state while I try to figure out how to get it built. We need to raise enough money to accomplish the architectural, engineering, and Planning steps. This is an approximate $130,000 step. My drive is to get all of this accomplished within one year.<\/p>\n<p>I have engaged both a prominent San Francisco-based architectural firm owned by Bear Valley homeowners and a San Francisco structural engineering firm whose owner has long-running ties to Bear Valley. Together they will ensure our dollars are not wasted.<\/p>\n<p>I have already presented this project in person to the full Alpine County Board of Supervisors who voted unanimously to support the project. We are targeting the County &#8220;A&#8221; lot where the Music Festival tent already gets erected. We met on site with a representative of the Alpine County Planning department and we investigated 7 other potential sites. None of which checked all of the boxes like the &#8220;A&#8221; lot. To get a better idea of the size I measured the actual music festival tent.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m raising money through the 501c6 Bear Valley Business Association. Any donation will help make an impact. However, at this point, donations are NOT tax-deductible.<\/p>\n<p>There are approximately 760 Bear Valley lot, condo, and home owners. If just 130 families donate $1000 each together we can help make this project a reality.
