{"id":119903,"date":"2021-05-10T13:58:02","date_gmt":"2021-05-10T20:58:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/69.46.6.243\/?p=119903"},"modified":"2021-05-10T13:58:02","modified_gmt":"2021-05-10T20:58:02","slug":"governor-newsom-announces-state-tax-rebate-stimulus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/?p=119903","title":{"rendered":"Governor Newsom Announces State Tax Rebate &#038; Stimulus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sacramento, CA&#8230;Governor Gavin Newsom today previewed his $100 billion California Comeback Plan \u2013 the biggest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.ca.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Economic-Recovery-Package-Factsheet.pdf\">economic recovery package<\/a>\u00a0in California\u2019s history \u2013 including unprecedented investments to address the state\u2019s most persistent challenges, starting with nearly $12 billion in direct cash payments to Californians hit hardest by the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dailytide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/gavinsigning-400x250-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"250\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Chief among the new proposals is a major expansion of the Golden State Stimulus, providing additional direct payments to middle-class families\u00a0that make up to $75,000. Under the plan, two-thirds of Californians will\u00a0benefit from\u00a0$600 direct payments. Qualified families with dependents, including undocumented families,\u00a0will also now be eligible for an additional $500. The plan triples California\u2019s previous investment, reaching more people and giving bigger benefits.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCalifornia\u2019s recovery is well underway, but we can\u2019t be satisfied with simply going back to the way things were,\u201d said Governor Newsom. \u201cWe are tripling the Golden State Stimulus to get money in the hands of more middle-class Californians who have been hit hard by this pandemic.
