{"id":124246,"date":"2021-07-03T17:10:27","date_gmt":"2021-07-04T00:10:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/69.46.6.243\/?p=124246"},"modified":"2021-07-03T17:10:27","modified_gmt":"2021-07-04T00:10:27","slug":"45-year-old-sonora-man-lost-his-life-in-rawhide-road-collision","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/?p=124246","title":{"rendered":"45 Year Old Sonora Man Lost His Life in Rawhide Road Collision"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown, CA&#8230;On July 2, 2021, at approximately 4:25pm, 45-year-old Michael Bowers of Sonora was driving a 2001 Ford Focus westbound on Rawhide Road, west of Pulpit Rock Road with his passenger 34-year-old Samantha Tarango from Sonora.  Mr. Bowers allowed his vehicle to travel off the north shoulder where it crashed into a tree.  After striking the tree, the Ford Focus continued down an embankment where it eventually came to rest. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/chpson.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-37822\" srcset=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/chpson.jpg 200w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/chpson-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/chpson-30x30.jpg 30w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Mr. Bowers succumbed to his injures at the scene. His passenger sustained major injuries and was flown to Memorial Medical Center by air ambulance. <\/p>\n<p>It was determined both occupants were not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
