Arnold, CA…This morning it was an honor to cover the 40th Annual GABA Independence Day Parade. This is an event that almost didn’t happen at all do to Covid. With the state not officially opening until June 15th there was no way Caltrans could turn around a permit to have the normal parade on Hwy 4. So plan b was to have a parade on county roads. So this morning’s parade ran an abbreviated route from Independence Hall to White Pines Park. It was a fun, community centric parade and Supervisor Merita Callaway and others deserve a huge Thank You for carrying the water on this project. It was a great event and a community lift until next year when the GABA Parade will once again take it’s place on Hwy 4.<\/p>\n
