Wade\u00a0<\/i>has protected for the last 50 years. In California, we will ensure that women continue to have access to critical health care services, including abortion, and California will continue to lead the nation in expanding access to reproductive and sexual health care. And I will continue to appoint judges and justices who will faithfully follow the Constitution and precedent to uphold people\u2019s rights, unlike this disappointing inaction from the high court.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>In 2019, Governor Newsom signed a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.ca.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Proclamation-on-Reproductive-Freedom.pdf\">Proclamation on Reproductive Freedom<\/a>\u00a0reaffirming California\u2019s commitment to protecting women\u2019s reproductive choices.
