Arnold, CA…If you\u2019d like to get vaccinated or tested for Covid-19, Calaveras County\u2019s mobile clinic will be at the Arnold Library this Saturday, October 9.\u00a0 The County\u2019s Health Department is sponsoring the mobile clinic from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

Vaccination:\u00a0Appointments available but walk-ins are welcome.\u00a0Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are available \u2013 at no cost \u2013 to those 18 years old and up.\u00a0Pfizer vaccine is available to those 12 and up.\u00a0\u00a0Bring a form of documentation, such as your driver\u2019s license, with your name and birthdate. To pre-register for\u00a0a Covid-19 vaccination\u00a0appointment\u00a0go to:\u00a0https:\/\/myturn.ca.gov<\/a>.\u00a0Call the CA COVID-19 hotline at 1-833-422-4255 (Monday-Friday 8 a.m-8 p.m., Saturday-Sunday 8-5 for assistance.<\/div>\n

Booster shot:\u00a0Only the Pfizer vaccine has been approved by the FDA for a booster shot for select groups of people who have already been fully vaccinated, and will be available at the mobile clinic.\u00a0The FDA is planning to discuss booster shots of the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines on Oct. 14.<\/div>\n

Testing:\u00a0Walk-ins only.\u00a0If you think you might have been exposed to the virus<\/div>\n
or have any symptoms from sniffles to a cough, just drive up to the mobile clinic and they will give you the test to take in your car.\u00a0You will receive results via email in about 48 hours \u2013 but in this case by the following Tuesday due to the weekend. To reduce any waiting time, you can pre-register for\u00a0Covid testing\u00a0at:\u00a0https:\/\/bit.ly\/3wpNEUU<\/a>.\u00a0Please bring health insurance information.\u00a0If you\u2019re uninsured, the government pays for your test.<\/div>\n
According to County guidelines, if you\u2019ve had close contact with someone who has Covid-19, you should get tested 3-5 days after exposure, even if you are vaccinated, and wear a mask in public indoor settings for 14 days or until you receive a negative result. (FYI: Home test kits are available for purchase at CVS in Angels Camp \u2013 call ahead to see if they are still in stock).<\/div>\n
