San Andreas, CA…The next redistricting public hearing will be held on October 26, 2021, in the Board of Supervisors Chambers.\u00a0 The community is encouraged to attend the hearing and provide input on the draft map. The date of the public hearing was changed to provide the community with more time to draft their own maps and continue submitting public comment.<\/p>\n

Alternative preliminary draft maps can be found on the\u00a0County\u2019s redistricting webpage<\/a>\u00a0by clicking on \u201cdraft maps<\/a>\u201d. The supervisorial districts must be drawn in a manner that evenly distributes the County\u2019s population between each district.\u00a0 In addition to population, the County must take into account geographic contiguity, integrity of local communities of interest and cities, consideration of natural and man-made barriers, and compactness.<\/p>\n

The public may continue to utilize\u00a0community mapper<\/a>\u00a0to submit community of interest maps and to make public comments.\u00a0 Written public comments and paper maps may also be submitted to the County Registrar of Voters Office, 891 Mountain Ranch Road, San Andreas, CA 95249.<\/p>\n
