<\/a><\/p>\nHow can you help? Start donating blood! Donating blood is easy and the entire donation process takes about one hour with the actual blood donation taking about 5-7 minutes. The blood collected at each blood drive helps support local hospitals and Calaveras County patients.<\/p>\n
To prepare for your blood donation you will need to bring a photo ID, eat a healthy meal, and drink plenty of water. It is recommended that you make an on-line appointment by going to: donors.vitalant.org and use blood drive code SMFM399. Or you may call Vitalant at 877-258-4825. Advance appointments are encouraged to help maintain social distancing. All donors are required to wear a mask or face covering.<\/p>\n
