Stockton, CA…The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is conducting an Emergency Director\u2019s Order to remove potentially hazardous trees from the December winter storms that brought record snow amounts and high wind gusts to the Sierra Nevada. Crews will work from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday until spring 2022 along State Route 88 from Jackson to Dew Drop. Next week, work is scheduled Monday, March 14, through Friday, March 18, 2022, from Gayla Drive to Buckhorn Ridge Road. In addition to tree work, the project includes regrading ditches, repairing pavement, and slope stabilization.<\/p>\n

One-way traffic control will be employed, and motorists should expect traffic impacts of
\n10 minutes or longer.
\nCaltrans encourages motorists to conduct essential travel outside scheduled work hours
\nto help reduce wait times.
\nThe work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic
\nincidents, weather, availability of equipment, and\/or materials and construction related<\/p>\n
