Jamestown, CA…An early morning start for our officers today. You will notice more officers than usual on the roadways today as the Sonora Area CHP works a special enforcement detail. This is in response to the increased number of fatal crashes in the county. Throughout the upcoming months, several days have been planned with increased officers on the roadways, looking to increase seatbelt usage, deter distracted driving, reduce vehicle speeds, and stop impaired driving.<\/p>\n

Additional officers will be starting throughout the day so that there is an increased presence into the evening hours. <\/p>\n

We\u2019re all in this together, so do your part by buckling up, avoiding distractions, and not exceeding the speed limit.<\/p>\n
