.A storm system will bring winter weather conditions to
\nelevations above 4500 feet for interior northern California
\ntoday. Snow will develop early this morning and will continue
\ninto the afternoon before diminishing during the evening.
\nLocalized heavy snow showers will be possible this afternoon into
\nthe early evening with limited visibility. Motorists with travel
\nplans should be prepared for winter driving conditions and are
\nencouraged to check with CalTrans for the latest road conditions.<\/p>\n

* WHAT…Snow expected. Plan on difficult travel conditions. Total
\nsnow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches over the Shasta County
\nMountains and Coastal Range, and 6 to 14 inches over the
\nsouthern Cascades and northern Sierra Nevada. Localized amounts
\nup to 18 inches over higher peaks from I-80 south.<\/p>\n
* WHERE…Shasta County Mountains, Coastal Range, southern
\nCascades, and West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada above 4500
\nfeet.<\/p>\n
