Angels Camp, CA… On Monday April 25, The Calaveras Chamber of Commerce held our 3rd Annual “On the Right Track” Program at Bret Harte High School. We served 230 juniors and seniors this year. This program was created to help High School students gain knowledge about resources they can use once they graduate. The students are given real life scenarios such as; they just started a business and need to get a business license, they just bought a home and need to get a loan and turn on their utilities, renewing their driver’s license and registration just to name a few. They visit the appropriate entities at their booths to fill out the paperwork and go over what they would need to do to successfully complete the real-life experience or challenge. There were over 70 Volunteers with 36 local business entities represented to give the students this hands-on experience.<\/p>\n
