Jackson, CA…Hospice of Amador and Calaveras has been named a 2022 Hospice Honors Elite recipient by\u00a0HEALTHCAREfirst, a leading provider of billing and coding services, healthcare surveys, and advanced analytics.\u00a0This prestigious annual review recognizes hospice agencies that continuously provide the highest level of quality\u00a0care as measured from the caregiver\u2019s point of view. It acknowledges the highest performing hospice agencies by\u00a0analyzing the performance of the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) hospice\u00a0survey satisfaction measures.<\/p>\n

\u201cHospice Honors Elite recipients are industry leaders in providing quality care and are constantly seeking ways\u00a0to improve,\u201d said Ronda Howard, Vice President Revenue Cycle and CAHPS at HEALTHCAREfirst. \u201cWe are\u00a0honored to be aligned with such high performing agencies like Hospice of Amador and Calaveras and we congratulate them on\u00a0their success.\u201d<\/p>\n

Award criteria were based on Hospice CAHPS survey results for an evaluation period of October 2020 through\u00a0September 2021. Award recipients were identified by evaluating performance on a set of 24 quality indicator\u00a0measures. Performance scores were aggregated from all completed surveys and were compared on a question-by-question\u00a0basis to a National Performance Score calculated from all hospices contained in HEALTHCAREfirst\u2019s\u00a0Hospice CAHPS database.<\/p>\n
