Playing to both large and small audiences and venues alike, even prior to their incarnation as Tennessee River, the band has consistently proven their talent and professionalism over a very broad and eclectic range of musical styles. Alex Ligertwood, front man of the 70\u2019s super group Santana, has stated \u201cThese guys have got to be, hands down, THE most talented group of musicians I\u2019ve ever played with that wasn\u2019t yet signed to a major label. Your harmonies are incredible\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Tennessee River\u00a0was \u00a0formed in January of 2002 with the idea of bringing back and paying \u00a0tribute to one of the most influential and vocally dynamic country bands \u00a0of our time \u2013 Alabama. \u00a0Receiving over 150 industry awards including 8 country music \u00a0\u201cEntertainer of the Year\u201d honors, 2 Grammys, 2 People\u2019s Choice Awards, \u00a0\u201cArtist of the Decade\u201d recognition by the Academy of Country Music, \u00a0\u201cCountry Group of the Century\u201d honors from the RIAA, induction into the \u00a0Country Music Hall of Fame and their very own star on the \u201cHollywood \u00a0Walk of Fame,\u201d there is no doubt that Alabama has become an icon in \u00a0music history. Given that kind of illustrious track record, this is why Tennessee River \u00a0was born\u2014to spotlight an incredible band that really to this day has \u00a0never been recognized by any tribute project to the degree they should be.<\/p>\n
