Theatre Arts Repertory for Kids be “Part of Your World” as 70 talented youth performers between the ages of 5-18 stage “The Little Mermaid,” February 12<\/span><\/span>-14 at the Bret Harte High School Center for the Performing Arts in Angels Camp. \u00a0\u00a0Based on the iconic 1989 animated feature film, “The Little Mermaid” tells the story of Ariel, a headstrong young mermaid who yearns to find true love and a sense of belonging. By entering into a powerful pact with the scheming sea witch Ursula, Ariel must make the dashing Prince Eric fall in love with her and discover the power of her own voice before she can find her happily ever after.<\/p>\n

With 70 local youth actors, colorful costumes, magical stage effects and a magnificent score by the inimitable Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, featuring songs including “Part of Your World,” “Under the Sea,” “Poor Unfortunate Souls” and “Kiss the Girl,” this family-friendly production will delight and inspire theatre-goers of all ages.<\/p>\n

Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students 12 and under. Performances are Friday, February 12 at 7:00 pm<\/span><\/span>; Saturday, February 13 at 2:00 pm<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
