San Andreas, CA…Meet Spotty Dottie- a female Dalmatian mix, about 6 months old and 41 \u00a0pounds. Dottie was surrendered by owner because she digs in the yard, chews pillows and dumps the trash. Dalmatians thrive on human companionship,\u00a0and if left alone too long they can become destructive or they will pout and act depressed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This dog is for someone who wants to spend time with a pet.<\/p>\n

We believe if she is crate trained that would help. She enjoys walks and has good leash manners. <\/p>\n

Dottie is very affectionate and loves snuggles; we are working on her jumping up for affection.<\/p>\n

She is quiet even though other dogs are barking. Dottie happily greets all the dogs she meets, wanting to play. Her indoor kennel is clean, so she could easily be housebroken.<\/p>\n

If you have another dog, a meet n\u2019 greet is required. Dottie will need to be spayed before joining you.<\/p>\n

\nAll dogs available for adoption at the Calaveras Animal Shelter are up-to-date on their routine vaccinations and will be microchipped. All unaltered dogs AND cats must be neutered before they can go home with you.<\/p>\n

Animal Services now has a Fee Flexibility Program!
\nWhen the dog or cat population at the shelter is at 80% or above capacity, the total adoption fee will be 50% off\u2013\u2013reduced to $40 for dogs and $30 for cats. The adoption fee for cats who arrive at the shelter already altered will be $10. With the 55-5-5 Program, any time an adopter is 55 or older and adopts any pet over 5 years old, the adoption fee is $5.<\/p>\n
