Arnold, CA…This month we\u2019re happy to welcome Timeless Home Gallery<\/a> to the CVB membership. After two and a half years in business in Arnold, they have just relocated to their new digs in the Cameo Plaza. We caught up with owner Lynn Glocker as she was busy on her first day in the new showroom. The floors inside help tell the story at the heart of the business \u2013 recycled pine and cedar from the old White Pines bar, rough sawn oak planks from a large tree that fell nearby in 2010 \u2013 it\u2019s a place where you can experience the raw materials of the surrounding forests transformed into functional art for the home.<\/p>\n

Before opening Timeless Home, Lynn and John Glocker specialized in furniture made from repurposed redwood water tanks and wine barrels, often traveling from their Arnold base to arts and crafts shows. \u00a0They saw\u00a0a need for a local gallery to show not only their work, but also the many talented local artists that use the surrounding landscape as their inspiration as well as their source material. \u00a0Local is the thread that ties all the work together \u2013 the artists must be local, currently there are 18 on display, including photographers, potters, woodworkers, glass artists and painters.\u00a0For the visitor, it\u2019s an opportunity to own a piece of Calaveras County.<\/p>\n

Lynn has also found a receptive market in the second-home buyer. She works with realtors helping to stage Arnold area houses and sometimes the agents will buy their clients gift certificates to Timeless Home, creating a nice little cross promotional loop. Glocker says the showroom samples also generate a fair amount of custom design orders for the artists on display \u2013 some of whom also provide interior construction and finishing services. \u00a0Word of mouth, as well as newspaper and social media help round out the marketing plan for Timeless Home, and once the dust settles, they will likely hold a grand re-opening celebration later this year. Keep your eye out for that and stop into the Cameo Plaza next time you are in town.<\/p>\n
