Sacramento, CA…On December 7th, RCRC\u2019s Board of Directors elected two new members to the 2023 Executive Committee, during the organization\u2019s last meeting of 2022. In this meeting, RCRC\u2019s Board of Directors elected Supervisor Geri Byrne from Modoc County to serve as RCRC’s Second Vice Chair and Supervisor Matt Kingsley, from Inyo County, to serve as RCRC’s Member at Large. Supervisors Byrne and Kingsley will join the seven members of RCRC\u2019s Executive Directors in leading the organization\u2019s Board of Directors.<\/p>\n

Supervisor Byrne, RCRC’s Second Vice Chair,\u00a0 Supervisor Kingsley, RCRC’s Member at Large<\/p>\n

Supervisor Byrne was first elected to the Modoc County Board of Supervisors in 2010. She is a strong advocate for water security, forest health and other natural resource issues. In addition to serving as an RCRC delegate, Supervisor Byrne also sits on RCRC affiliate Golden State Natural Resources\u2019 Board of Directors, playing a critical role in overseeing forest resiliency projects.<\/p>\n

Supervisor Kingsley was elected to the Inyo County Board of Supervisors in 2012. He previously served as RCRC\u2019s Chair in 2019, and currently sits as the Chair of RCRC affiliate Golden State Natural Resources, bringing a deep knowledge of both organization\u2019s history and direction into his new role.<\/p>\n

RCRC looks forward to the leadership and expertise Directors Byrne and Kingsley will bring to the Executive Committee throughout the course of their term.<\/p>\n
