<\/a><\/p>\nVehicles are required to have tire chains or traction control devices during operation on County roads per Calaveras County Ordinance No. 2519.<\/p>\n
Sanding may take place to maintain main roads and school bus routes, when feasible.<\/p>\n
Ice-scraping operations only take place during daylight hours when temperatures are higher, and snow becomes slushy.<\/p>\n
Calaveras Code Section 10.28 \u201cVehicles Parked During Snow Removal\u201d prohibits parking on the pavement during snow removal operations. Vehicles parked within the right-of way will be towed. The right of way extends beyond edge of pavement, generally 5 to 10 feet. <\/p>\n
