Public Works has received several reports regarding icy roadways.  Please be aware of the following information related to travel during snowy and icy conditions:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/CalaverasCountySeal.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/CalaverasCountySeal.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"220\" height=\"218\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-23630\" srcset=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/CalaverasCountySeal.jpg 220w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/CalaverasCountySeal-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/CalaverasCountySeal-30x30.jpg 30w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 220px) 100vw, 220px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Vehicles are required to have tire chains or traction control devices during operation on County roads per Calaveras County Ordinance No. 2519.<\/p>\n<p>Sanding may take place to maintain main roads and school bus routes, when feasible.<\/p>\n<p>Ice-scraping operations only take place during daylight hours when temperatures are higher, and snow becomes slushy.<\/p>\n<p>Calaveras Code Section 10.28 \u201cVehicles Parked During Snow Removal\u201d prohibits parking on the pavement during snow removal operations.  Vehicles parked within the right-of way will be towed.
