In Tuolumne County, ALL fireworks are prohibited; including safe and sane fireworks. In Calaveras County, with the exception of the Ebbetts Pass Fire Protection District, Safe and Sane fireworks are allowed. As a reminder, if you legally purchase Safe and Sane fireworks in Calaveras County, you cannot possess, transport or discharge them in Tuolumne County.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/calfiretcu.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-45557\" srcset=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/calfiretcu.jpg 320w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/calfiretcu-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/calfiretcu-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/calfiretcu-30x30.jpg 30w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cDangerous\u201d fireworks are illegal within the State of California, regardless of how they arrived in the State. \u201cDangerous\u201d fireworks include, but are not limited to the following: firecrackers, skyrockets, rockets, devices which employ combustible or explosive material and rise in the air, roman candles, devices which discharge balls of fire, sparklers greater than ten inches in length or 1\/4 inch in diameter.<\/p>\n<p>Safe and Sane fireworks can typically be identified by their label:<br \/>\nCAL FIRE advises Safe and Sane fireworks users to follow the below safety tips:<br \/>\nLocal ordinances should be verified before purchasing and\/or using fireworks.<br \/>\n\u2022 Always read directions.<br \/>\n\u2022 Always have an adult present.<br \/>\n\u2022 Use fireworks outdoors only.<br \/>\n\u2022 Never use near dry grass or other flammable materials.<br \/>\n\u2022 Light one at a time.<br \/>\n\u2022 Keep a safe distance.<br \/>\n\u2022 Never point or throw fireworks at another person.<br \/>\n\u2022 Never experiment with fireworks.<br \/>\n\u2022 Have a bucket of water and a hose handy.<br \/>\n\u2022 Never attempt to re-light or \u201cfix\u201d fireworks.<br \/>\n\u2022 Do not wear loose fitting clothing.<br \/>\n\u2022 Never carry fireworks in your pockets.<br \/>\n\u2022 Fireworks are not toys.<br \/>\n\u2022 Use only State Fire Marshal approved fireworks.<\/p>\n<p>Persons using \u201cDangerous\u201d fireworks in both Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties are subject to a citation and confiscation of the illegal fireworks. Persons using any fireworks in Tuolumne County are subject to a citation and confiscation of the fireworks.
