The driver allowed the right side tires of V-1 to travel east of the asphalt roadway edge onto the dirt\/gravel shoulder.  He corrected steered to the left and applied the brakes.  Unfortunately the motorhome traveled out of control and crossed both traffic lanes.  The Jayco and attached Ford Ranger exited the west roadway edge and overturned once reaching the downward embankment.
