San Andreas, CA…On Friday, July 28th, at approximately 1:00 am, a Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling on Saint Charles Street in San Andreas. During the stop, it was discovered that the vehicle’s driver, Mario Berumen-Rose (age 36 and resident of Auburn, CA), had an outstanding felony warrant. Deputies searched the vehicle, which led to the discovery of a firearm, illegal narcotics, and drug paraphernalia. Berumen-Rose and the passenger, Amy Ronnigen (age 46 and resident of Cool, CA), are prohibited from possessing firearms and were subsequently arrested. This case is still under investigation.<\/p>\n

Mario Berumen-Rose was booked into the Calaveras County Jail on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, possessing a controlled substance while armed, and illegally possessing ammunition.<\/p>\n

Amy Ronnigen was booked into the Calaveras County Jail on charges of being in possession of ammunition while prohibited, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.<\/p>\n

The Calaveras County Sheriff\u2019s Office will continue actively pursuing individuals with outstanding warrants and those involved in criminal activities, especially those unlawfully possessing firearms.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
