San Andreas, CA…Here\u2019s Kimo a neutered male German Shepherd mix, 10 months old and 65 pounds. Kimo\u00a0and\u00a0Kai\u00a0were left on a property with a caretaker when their owner moved out of state. Unfortunately, they kept escaping and bothering the neighbors who wanted to help, so they came to Animal Services.<\/p>\n

Kimo\u00a0was very anxious at the beginning. Each day we see some improvement as he is trusting his handlers and getting used to the dogs in the shelter.<\/p>\n

He has had several successful playdates. A meet \u2019n greet is required if you have another dog.<\/p>\n

He seems to be housebroken. Kimo\u00a0is neutered, and ready to follow you home. Come meet him!<\/p>\n

All dogs available for adoption at the Calaveras Animal Shelter are up-to-date on their routine vaccinations and will be microchipped. All unaltered cats and dogs must be spayed or neutered before they can go home with you.<\/p>\n

Animal Services now has a Fee Flexibility Program!
\nWhen the dog or cat population at the shelter is at 80% or above capacity, the total adoption fee will be 50% off\u2013\u2013reduced to $40 for dogs and $30 for cats. The adoption fee for cats who arrive at the shelter already altered will be $10. With the 55-5-5 Program, any time an adopter is 55 or older and adopts any pet over 5 years old, the adoption fee is $5.<\/p>\n
