<\/p>\nSonora, CA…Late this morning around 11:30 A.M., Deputy Yorston was patrolling in East Sonora when he saw a Mitsubishi Lancer driving towards him. Deputy Yorston recognized the vehicle and the driver from having previous law enforcement contacts with him. Deputy Yorston recognized the driver as being Wayne Dunlap a 26 year old Sonora man who is an unlicensed driver and who currently has a warrant for his arrest. <\/p>\n

A traffic stop was initiated at Spanish Grant\/Longeway Road. During contact, the female passenger was identified as Isela Sandoval a 31 year old transient who is on searchable probation. Deputy Yorston performed a search of the vehicle and found a stolen IPhone and a stolen loaded 9mm handgun underneath the driver’s seat.
\nDunlap and Sandoval were arrested and booked into the Tuolumne County Jail.<\/p>\n
Sandoval was booked for misdemeanor receiving stolen property and was released from the jail with a court date. Dunlap was booked for felon in possession of a firearm, prohibited person owning or possessing ammunition, receiving known stolen property, driving without a license and a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear on possession of a controlled substance.
