Becker’s Healthcare, a leading source of business and legal information for healthcare industry
\nleaders, compiled this list based on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers
\nand Systems (HCAHPS) data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The
\nevaluation focused on nurse communication, a critical aspect of patient care, which

The nurse communication star rating, derived from three key HCAHPS survey questions,

The star rating is a culmination of survey data collected from hospital patients throughout the
\ncalendar year 2022, and the figures were recently released on November 8th via CMS’ Provider
