P-1 was driving V-1 westbound on SR-26.  P-2 was driving V-2 eastbound on SR-26.  P-1 accelerated to pass slower moving traffic in the westbound lane, and began traveling westbound in the eastbound lane.  The front of V-1 collided with the front of V-2.  <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/chpsan.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-37824\" srcset=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/chpsan.jpg 200w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/chpsan-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/chpsan-30x30.jpg 30w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Emergency personnel responded and life saving measures were attempted.  P-2 succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.  <\/p>\n<p>Alcohol and or drugs and not suspected as a cause of this collision.
