Together, we have overcome challenges, achieved milestones, and collaborated to keep our community safe. I am profoundly grateful and will always cherish the relationships and memories we have created together.<\/p>\n
In preparing for the future of the Sheriff\u2019s Office, my command staff and I have developed a strong succession plan for a seamless transition. I am recommending that the Board of Supervisors appoint Captain David Vasquez as Sheriff for the remainder of my term. Undersheriff Evans will stay on to help with the transition. I am confident that their leadership, experience, and dedication will ensure that the Sheriff\u2019s Office and our community will continue to thrive.<\/p>\n
My last day of office will be February 29th, 2024.<\/p>\n
