* WHAT…Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2
\n feet, locally up to 3 feet at mountain peaks. Southerly winds
\n gusting as high as 65 mph.<\/p>\n
* WHERE…Western Plumas County\/Lassen Park and West Slope
\n Northern Sierra Nevada, including Interstate 80 over Donner
\n Pass and Highway 50 over Echo Summit.<\/p>\n
* WHEN…From 10 AM this morning to 4 AM PST Saturday.<\/p>\n
* IMPACTS…Travel will be very difficult to impossible from
\n travel delays, snow covered roads, and reduced visibility at
\n times, with possible chain controls and road closures. Gusty
\n winds could bring down tree branches and telephone poles.<\/p>\n
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Snow levels of 6000 to 7000 feet on
\n Wednesday, lowering to 4000 to 5000 feet on Thursday, and as low
\n as 3500 feet by Friday morning. Heaviest snowfall accumulations
\n expected above 6000 feet. Snow rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour,
\n heaviest tonight into Thursday morning.<\/p>\n

\n areas, Motherlode, Mountains Southwestern Shasta County to Western
\n Colusa County, Northeast Foothills and Sacramento Valley.<\/p>\n
* WHEN…From 4 PM PST this afternoon through late Thursday night.<\/p>\n
* IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
\n creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
\n Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
\n in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be
\n flooded. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris.<\/p>\n

\n – Urban and small stream flooding from prolonged heavy rain
