…BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM PST SUNDAY…<\/p>\n
* WHAT…Extremely dangerous to impossible travel from blizzard
\n conditions. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 10 feet above 5000
\n feet, local amounts of 12 feet or more over peaks, with 1 to 4
\n feet above 3000 feet through Sunday morning. Minor accumulations
\n down to around 2000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 75 mph or
\n higher.<\/p>\n
* WHERE…West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada, Northeast
\n Foothills, Motherlode, and Western Plumas County\/Lassen Park
\n above 2000 feet. Including Interstate 80 and Highway 50.<\/p>\n
* WHEN…Until 10 AM PST Sunday.<\/p>\n
* IMPACTS…Extremely dangerous to impossible travel conditions
\n with extended road closures likely. Widespread blowing snow
\n will create blizzard conditions with white-out conditions and
\n near zero visibility. Very strong winds, combined with heavy
\n snow could cause extensive tree damage and extended power
\n outages.<\/p>\n
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Snow levels 4000 to 5000 feet, lowering to
\n around 2000 feet by Saturday. Intense snow rates of 2 to 4
\n inches per hour at times. Blizzard conditions at times,
\n especially through Saturday when snowfall is heaviest.<\/p>\n
