Murphys, CA…Grover Anderson and the Lampoliers ~ Friday, March 15! Whether you find his writing wicked or charming, there\u2019s no denying Grover is a product of Calaveras County, following in the footsteps of Mark Twain and Bret Harte. March marks the 10th anniversary of his breakout album The Optimist, and he’ll perform songs from it (along with plenty of others) with his band The Lampoliers\u2014Josh Certo, Dave Duggan, Owen Ragland, and Graham Richards. (A \u201clampolier\u201d is a soul-devouring demon who dwells in abandoned mines and is probably not a word that Grover made up.)<\/p>\n

You might have seen Grover at Alaska\u2019s Salmonfest, placing 3rd in the 2023 Tucson Folk Festival Songwriting Competition, or headlining Hermitfest in the Sierra Nevadas. Perhaps you caught him opening for Birds of Chicago, The Charlie Daniels Band, or America. Or maybe you\u2019ve been to one of his sold-out shows in Calaveras County. No? Oh, that\u2019s right, you\u2019ve never heard of him. Well, it\u2019s about time to remedy that!<\/p>\n
