<\/p>\nAngels Camp, CA…Destination Angels Camp will host a grand opening this Saturday at Glory Hole Sports, 2892 Highway 49, Angels Camp, Saturday, April 23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. celebrating new ownership of the iconic business. \u201cWe are thrilled about the addition of new energy and businesses in the Angels Camp area,\u201d said Anne Forrest, CEO of Destination Angels Camp, the economic arm of the City of Angels. \u201cThe Grand Openings are one of many services DAC provides to the Angels Camp business community.\u201d<\/p>\n

New owners, Gene Hildebrand and Dawn Masters, will host a variety of enticing offers during their grand opening including barbecue tri-tip, a ten cent-per-gallon discount on gas, and raffle prizes worth more than $1,000. In addition, fishing vendors will be available during the day and a roster of seminars is planned.<\/p>\n
Hildebrand and Masters, who took over the ownership of Glory Hole Sports March 1, have great plans for the business. \u201cWe\u2019re currently expanding the deli menu, as well as indoor seating,\u201d Hildebrand confirmed. \u201cWe want to thank all the patrons and their patience as we move forward.\u201d<\/p>\n
Hildebrand was a general contractor for 40 years in the Los Angeles area, and Masters has been a paralegal in the medical field for seven years. \u201cWe were looking to relocate from Southern California and purchase a business, and we\u2019re happy we ended up in Angels Camp,\u201d he expressed. \u201cThe reception has been really warm.\u201d<\/p>\n
Glory Hole Sports houses approximately 3,800 square feet of everything for fisherman, campers, hikers and boaters. Open hours are 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily. Evening hours will be expanded during the summer months.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is our first big venture in the retail business, and we\u2019ll make it right,\u201d he added. \u201cNew Melones is up 100 feet and the concrete ramp and dock are in place. We\u2019re looking forward to a great season.\u201d<\/p>\n
