Meet the handsome Sir Winston, a neutered male\u00a0German Shepherd dog, estimated to be about 1 year old and weighing 88 pounds. Winston seems to have been loved once, but somehow lost his home. He was wandering in a neighborhood for a couple of months before a kind person brought him to the Shelter. Someone also had him neutered. Winston is quiet in his kennel and waits patiently for his turn. He has very good leash manners and knows \u201csit\u201d. Winston is very attentive to his person and has the qualities to be an emotional support dog.<\/p>\n

He is friendly with most of the dogs he has met unless they are reactive. If you have another dog, a meet and greet is required.<\/p>\n

Winston would love to meet you, and since he is neutered he can come home with you right away. He\u2019s a catch!

All dogs available for adoption at the Calaveras Animal Shelter are up-to-date on their routine vaccinations and will be microchipped. All unaltered cats and dogs must be spayed or neutered before they can go home with you.<\/p>\n

Animal Services now has a Fee Flexibility Program!
\nWhen the dog or cat population at the shelter is at 80% or above capacity, the total adoption fee will be 50% off\u2013\u2013reduced to $40 for dogs and $30 for cats. The adoption fee for cats who arrive at the shelter already altered will be $10. With the 55-5-5 Program, any time an adopter is 55 or older and adopts any pet over 5 years old, the adoption fee is $5.<\/p>\n
