An Arnold man was driving his Mercedes to the rear of the Cadillac at 5 miles per hour.  A Valley Springs woman was driving her Chevrolet at an unknown speed to the rear of the slowing vehicles.  She failed to perceive traffic slowing ahead. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/chplogo.jpg\" alt=\"chplogo\" width=\"220\" height=\"94\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1001\" srcset=\"https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/chplogo.jpg 220w, https:\/\/new.thepinetree.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/chplogo-150x64.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 220px) 100vw, 220px\" \/> <\/p>\n<p>The front of her vehicle impacted the rear of the stopped Mercedes.  The Mercedes was propelled to the right and collided with the side of unoccupied, Mini Cooper parked along the west curb of SR-49.  The Chevrolet continued forward colliding with the rear of the Cadilac and came to a stop.  The driver of the Cadilac applied the brakes and came to a stop.  All parties waited for CHP to arrive at the collision scene.
