Murphys, CA…Founded in 1989, the Calaveras Wine Alliance (CWA) is a non-profit organization committed to promoting wines crafted in Calaveras County and\/or from Calaveras-grown grapes. We proudly represent local families producing some of California\u2019s most distinctive wines in the historic Sierra Foothills.<\/p>\n

The Calaveras Grape Stomp Competition began 31 years ago, created by local winery owners and grape growers to celebrate the harvest season while supporting the community.<\/p>\n

Each year, the event features a silent auction to benefit local organizations, non-profits, and our high school scholarship program. Thanks to the generosity of businesses and community members, we raised $11,300 from this year’s event. These funds were used to award three scholarships to local students, with additional proceeds supporting 17 deserving organizations, including:<\/p>\n
