Today\u2019s grants will provide access and improve service to approximately 3,300 households and businesses in Tuolumne County.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u201cWe are making extraordinary progress towards achieving our state\u2019s Broadband for All objectives as we work to connect all Californians to fast, reliable, and affordable broadband infrastructure,\u201d said CPUC President Alice Reynolds.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>Broadband Expansion by the Numbers<\/b><\/div>\n<div>With today\u2019s action the CPUC has now awarded over $1 billion in broadband grants for projects spanning 52 counties across California. An additional $550 million is set to be allocated to the Last Mile program in the 2027\u20132028 state budget.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Key achievements to date:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><b>113 broadband projects<\/b>\u00a0funded statewide.<\/li>\n<li><b>2 million Californians<\/b>\u00a0benefiting from improved connectivity.<\/li>\n<li><b>73 projects<\/b>\u00a0primarily serving disadvantaged areas.<\/li>\n<li><b>7,000 miles of fiber<\/b>\u00a0under deployment in these projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><b>About These Programs<\/b><\/div>\n<div>Established under Senate Bill 156 (2021), the CPUC\u2019s Last Mile Federal Funding Account is fueling economic growth across rural, tribal, and urban communities statewide.
