…WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON
\nTO 11 PM PDT MONDAY ABOVE 4500 FEET…<\/p>\n
* WHAT…Heavy snow expected above 4500 feet. Total snow
\n accumulations between 1 and 2 feet, up to 3 feet over peaks. Up to
\n 6 to 12 inches between 4500-5000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 70
\n mph.<\/p>\n
* WHERE…West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada County.<\/p>\n
* WHEN…From 5 PM this afternoon to 11 PM PDT Monday.<\/p>\n
* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
\n hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening
\n commutes. Very strong winds could cause extensive tree damage.<\/p>\n
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Heaviest snow early Monday morning with
\n snowfall rates up to 2 to 3 inches per hour at times. Snow levels
\n fall to around 3500 feet late Monday night, light accumulations of
\n 1-3 inches possible.<\/p>\n
PRECAUTIONARY\/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…<\/p>\n
Check the latest road conditions from Caltrans online at
\nquickmap.dot.ca.gov or dial 5 1 1.<\/p>\n
Persons should delay travel if possible. If travel is absolutely
\nnecessary, drive with extreme caution and be prepared for sudden
\nchanges in visibility. Consider taking a winter storm kit along with
\nyou and anything else that would help you survive in case you become
