<\/a><\/p>\nNorman was found straying in the Angels Camp area, and while we don\u2019t know how this sweet soul ended up on his own, we do know one thing for sure: he charms everyone he meets. He has that irresistible, big-man-with-nothing-to-prove energy \u2014 relaxed, friendly, and quietly confident. He\u2019s the kind of dog who seems perfectly content just being near his people.<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s some extra good news: thanks to the generous support of caring donors in our community, Norman\u2019s adoption fee is fully sponsored. That means his future family can focus entirely on welcoming him home \u2014 no adoption fee required.<\/p>\n
At an estimated 8 years old, Norman is well past the puppy chaos phase and firmly into his \u201clet\u2019s all just be comfortable\u201d era. He takes treats gently (despite having a very large mouth), enjoys attention from his human friends, and radiates calm wherever he goes. He may not be auditioning for Mensa, but his sweet nature and easygoing demeanor make him an absolute joy to spend time with.<\/p>\n
Norman is neutered, his adoption fee is sponsored, and he\u2019s ready to leave the shelter behind and settle into a loving home where he can enjoy the comfort and companionship he so clearly deserves.<\/p>\n

All dogs available for adoption at the Calaveras Animal Shelter are up to date on their routine vaccinations and will be microchipped. All unaltered dogs must be spayed or neutered before they can go home with you.<\/p>\n
Animal Services now has a Fee Flexibility Program!<\/p>\n
The shelter is currently over 80% capacity, so adoption fees are reduced: just $40 for dogs and $30 for cats. Cats who arrive at the shelter already altered can be adopted for only $10. With the 55-5-5 Program, adopters age 55+ can adopt a pet over 5 years old for just $5.<\/p>\n
Holiday Pet Pantry Drive: Calaveras County Animal Services is accepting pet food and new pet toy donations through Dec. 31. Drop items at the shelter during business hours to help local families and bring joy to shelter pets.<\/p>\n
