Moving from local water management in the Sierra foothills to statewide responsibility, often with national and even global implications, has brought the steepest learning curve of my professional career, and I\u2019m loving every second of it. As I\u2019ve come up to speed, it has been a privilege to work alongside an incredibly talented team at DWR and meet hundreds of people across the state. We have garnered statewide engagement, enthusiasm, and expectations.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Now the real work begins.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Director Karla Nemeth and I recently appointed a 36-member Advisory Committee representing diverse regions and perspectives from across California.
